Easun Reyrolle Ltd acquired the Relay and Recorder division of NxtPhase T&D Corporation on June 28, 2007, and now operates under the new name ERLPhase Power Technologies Ltd. Easun Reyrolle Ltd is a leading power system protection and power management company in India. ERLPhase Relay and Recorder division will continue to do business as usual from our North American headquarters in Winnipeg with our manufacturing base, customer service and application support remaining unchanged.

ERLPhase Power Technologies designs and manufactures leading-edge protection, monitoring and control solutions for the global electrical power utilities market. These products include digital signal processor (DSP) and microcomputer based relays for protection and control of electrical systems, multi-channel recorders for monitoring electrical systems, and data management system software for analysis and optimization of electrical systems.

ERLPhase began under the name, APT Power Technologies, as a software and hardware engineering development team to produce and sell the Transformer Protection Relay developed by the University of Manitoba's Electrical Engineering Department. Market exposure resulted in a small base of customers who recognized the power systems expertise and worked with APT to produce a new line of protection and recording products.

The current platform referred to simply as "the framework," gave APT the ability to incorporate new features into products much quicker than most of our competitors. The APT framework has since been incorporated into several products such as the Line Protection Relay (L-PRO), the second generation of the Transformer Protection Relay (T-PRO), the Disturbance Fault Recorder (TESLA), more recently the Feeder Protection Relay (F-PRO) and the Bus Protection Relay (B-PRO). RecordBase provides automated collection, storage and access to fault and disturbance data from TESLA recorders.

ERLPhase staff combine extensive experience in electric power systems with expertise in microelectronics, software and product development. We have an excellent understanding of the utility market and a strong overall vision of where the industry is going and how our products must evolve.

Our emphasis on smart devices, with integrated recording and logging, provides solutions to many of the challenges faced by the power utilities. ERLPhase designs and manufactures cost-effective innovative protection and monitoring products for the electric power industry that are world-class. We have removed the vendor specific relay language and replaced it with a Windows-driven intuitive setting system that protection engineers understand. The ERLPhase software system reduces the setting complexity and provides smart limitation to user settings.

As an integral part of a group with the domain knowledge in the field of power for more than sixty years, ERLPhase looks forward with confidence to play a much bigger role in its home market and expand its product reach to markets around the world.
